THE DAY AFTER THE 40TH

Well, it has been 40 years and a day since Lee and I were married. I honestly don't know where the time has gone. This is when life gets a little scary and you realize that time goes by so quickly that before you know it you are on the downhill side of things. So, I think it is a good time to assess things and decide to make the most of everyday. That is a noble goal but it is one that is difficult to attain. It seems that life's little challenges throw a kink in the attainment of such a worthy goal. But maybe if we would only let the challenges side track us for a very short time and then get back to appreciating our lives we could eventually come out on top. You know, it would be the old take two steps forward and one step back sort of thing. You get to where you are going but not as quickly as you would like. And we probably need to realize that the kinks that get thrown at us are for our growth and to help us learn valuable lessons. All I know is that all and all I have had a great life to this point. I have a wonderful husband, 5 great kids, 19 terrific grand kids and an extended family support system that is the best anyone could have. I have a great deal to be thankful for and I just want to thank all of you for being a part of my life.
Have a wonderful day and make the most of what it brings to you.

Life does fly by too quickly! I cannot believe that I have a son graduating from HS in June. Where have the past 18 years gone???
