ANOTHER SUNDAY

We went to Church and then took the kids up above the Power Plant to have lunch. ( We have Skyler, Sunshine and Jake here with us.) They seemed to enjoy hiking the short distance to the waterfall. It seems to be one of the Grandkids favorite places. They made a small dam at the bottom of the waterfall so the deer would have plenty to drink and it would be easier for them to drink. After that engineering project Grandpa decided that it was time to clean out the ol' truck. So he had the kids take the cup holders and floor mats over to the stream and give them a good washing while he cleaned out all the trash and swept out the inside of the truck. I was amazed how clean they got the skate(nickname for the truck). When the truck had been cleaned it was time to police the camping area and leave it cleaner than what we found it. You can take the boy out of scout but you can't the scout out of the boy. Lee said he was always taught by his scout leader to leave your camping sight cleaner than you found it. So, we ended up with a lot of trash to take off the mountain. It was pretty obvious other people don't follow that philosophy.
When we got back home the kids played in the backyard until almost dark. All in all it was a very nice day. Now it is back to getting the yard ready for the big event on Saturday. Hope we are able to accomplish everything we need to so that all goes well for the Wedding/Luau.
I'd better go and see what we need to do today.
