PATIENT OR NO PATIENCE ---HUMOR OR SERIOUS????

Here's it is Monday again. It's been a week since Lee had his surgery. He is doing well. It is amazing how fast he was up and about. The medical profession doesn't allow us to lay around very long any more. But I think that is a good thing.
Roger and Maureen came over Saturday and we had a nice visit. They were down from Salt Lake to get away from the cold and snow.
I have been thinking about aging and why some of us age with a sense of humor and added patients and some us age and become overly serious and grouchy. I had an experience at Church yesterday that brought this to mind. It seems some Seniors feel the whole world revolves around them. Making sure they are never inconvenienced and all their needs are met. Others are very sweet and humble. Just wanting to live the rest of their lives the best they can. What makes the difference? I think that would make a great psychological study. All I know is I hope as I age I don't become the one that is full of themselves. I hope that we have the ability to choose who we are becoming or at least change what we are becoming if we find we are becoming a big pain in the neck. What is your view on this subject?

I hate grumpy old people and I hope never to be one. We have Oscar the grouch living next door and he really should live in a retirement commmunity since he hates kids so much. Don't move to a neighborhood full of children if you don't like kids for cryin' out loud!
