Our Sunday began at 2:00am. Lee had been having abdominal pain for the last three days and of course he said it would pass. I could tell he was really in pain and tried to get him to go get it checked out. Well, being a typical man, he was bound and determined that it would go away on its own. Then this morning at 2:00 he decided that enough was enough and he asked me to take him to the hospital.
We were in the emergency room until about 8:00am. Because there were a lot of test run on Lee to see what was causing the pain. Finally, they said he was going to have to have surgery and have his appendix removed. He was in and out of surgery by 10:30 am.
Everything is going great and Lee says he feels better than he has in quite some time.
Things like this make us realize how we take our health for granite. I guess it is good to have to deal with a little emergency now and then to make us appreciate how much we have.

Hope Dad is still doing well. I bet you are both glad to have it behind you. At least it happened now and not while you are on your big trip in a few months!!!
